Cologne's modular maniacs Camp Inc. stand their ground with "Der Springer", a retrofuturist dada riddim emulating anarchist German new wave via cut-up vocals, minimal synth stylings and hearty electro beats. Originally recorded by fellow Cologne artists Hall & Rauch for Camp Inc.'s own tape label Camp Magnetics, this raucous cover is now the the lead single for the upcoming album debut "Perché La Notte" which is scheduled for a fall release and marks the label's return to glorious vinyl.
Cleveland-based alt-punk techno outfit Prostitutes instantly recognizes "Der Springer"'s rioting expertise and bumps up the grime with brutal one-note bass lines and noisy drum rolls, a deliberately planned and cold-bloodedly executed attack on your motor skills. This results in a highly charged atmosphere that isn't necessarily helped by the battle cries from acid manifesto "These Machines Kill Fascists" and slap bass missile "Broke Vultures". Both no friends of appeasement policies, they know how to headlock the dancers on the floor, making this release one of our most kinetic so far - all killer, no filler!
